The full list
Everything CloudLase does.
The whole studio in one page: design, generation, performance, audio, hardware, and safety. Free to start on macOS, Windows and Linux; Pro is one payment for life.
Design studio
- Vector editor with shapes, freehand pen, bezier paths, text, 3D wireframes, and image trace.
- Two laser fonts, including a scan-line raster style, plus fills: hatch, cross-hatch, rings, spiral, rays and waves with animated scroll.
- Effect stack per shape: oscillation, rotation, colour cycles, gradients, strobe, fan spread, and audio-reactive modulation on any parameter.
- Curve modulation: drive any effect parameter from an editable oscillator curve, live in the preview and on the laser.
- Frame-by-frame animation with onion skinning, per-frame effects, and MP4 or ILDA export of the result.
- Beam Designer and Wave Designer generators for aerial looks without drawing.
Timeline and show generation
- Multi-track timeline with one track per laser, drag-and-drop clips, crossfades, morph transitions, snapping, and section markers.
- One-click show generation: CloudLase analyses your track (beats, sections, drops, risers) and writes a beat-locked show for the whole rig.
- Generation you can steer: colour themes per show and per laser, look vocabulary, strobe ban, look length, dynamics, and rig positions.
- Keep the arrangement and re-theme it, or reroll a single section from its marker; every generated clip stays hand-editable.
- Audio clips with waveforms, beat grids, and tempo-locked playback; ILDA shows import straight onto the timeline.
- Export the finished show as MP4 (flat preview or an audience view with beams over the crowd) or as an ILDA file.
Live performance
- Beam Deck: a clip-deck surface with cues, zones, groups, and an FX rack for club-style live triggering.
- Compose mode: layer live looks across zones with per-zone speed, masters, and live-effect chips.
- Laser synth: dual oscillators, morph, kaleidoscope symmetry, three BPM-synced LFOs, and a patchable mod matrix with quick-slot crossfades.
- MIDI control with mappable parameters and native APC mini support, pads lit to match your looks.
- Playlist mode for running .ild show files back to back, with shuffle, loop, and per-clip end behaviour.
- Master safety sliders for brightness and size, always one reach away in the tray.
Audio and sync
- Audio-reactive everything: bass, mids, treble and amplitude route to any effect parameter with attack, release, and adaptive gain.
- Live input from a file, the system mix, or a microphone on macOS, Windows and Linux.
- Beat detection with BPM lock, plus tempo sync to your DJ software and instruments over Link.
- SMPTE LTC timecode input for locking shows to external playback.
- Spectra music visualizers: beat-reactive preset families that run as clips or live looks.
Hardware and output
- Native drivers for EtherDream, Helios, LaserCube (USB and WiFi), ShowNET, Raycomposer, and IDN network DACs.
- Multi-laser output with per-device scan rates, colour calibration, geometric correction, keystone, and blanking tuning.
- Zone routing: author once, project to many lasers with per-zone transforms, mirroring, and fan-out.
- Safety built in: scan-field zones with polygon keep-outs, beam attenuation, scan-fail-safe minimum sizes, and per-device interlocks.
- Venue preview: arrange your fixtures to match the physical rig and watch the whole show as the audience would see it, in 3D with haze.
AI and automation
- Built-in MCP server: connect Claude or any MCP client to the desktop app and author laser shows in plain language.
- The full studio over MCP: create workspaces, draw shapes with the complete effect stack, import and export ILDA, and run the real show generator headlessly with music analysis, laser roles, and palette control.
- Safe by design: AI tools drive the simulator only, and can never touch a physical laser.
- One-click setup from Settings, with copy-paste commands for Claude Code and Claude Desktop.
Files, cloud, and mobile
- ILDA import and export, SVG, OBJ and DXF import, CSV generation, and a global ILDA library with thumbnails.
- Vision trace: turn live camera or video into clean laser line art with subject isolation.
- CloudLase in the browser at app.cloudlase.studio, with optional sync between desktop and cloud workspaces.
- CloudLase GO for iPhone and iPad: discover network DACs, build looks, and run them live from your pocket.
- Works fully offline; licences verify locally with no account required.
