Audio-Reactive
Import audio, detect BPM and beats, then drive laser effects from bass, mid, treble, or amplitude. Sync frame playback to audio or run freeform. AI-powered show generation from music.
Multi-Device Output
EtherDream and IDN DAC support with per-projector configuration. Geometry, colour, blanking, scan zone, and profile management — each venue's calibration is one click away.
Performance Mode
26-slot cue pages triggered by keyboard (Q-M) or Art-Net DMX. Build cue libraries, assign to pages, and perform live with instant cue switching and animated previews.
Live Canvas
Freehand drawing streamed directly to laser hardware in real-time. Six brush types — pen, marker, glow, dotted, rainbow, and text. Built for live performances.
Collaborative Editing
Multiple users can edit the same workspace simultaneously. Shape changes sync in real-time via WebSocket — perfect for teams building shows together.
ILDA & SVG Import/Export
Drag-and-drop ILDA files (.ild/.ilda) or SVG vector graphics. Export your shows as standard ILDA for any laser software, or save portable CloudLase workspace archives.
See it in action
Every feature, designed for real-time laser output.

Design with precision
Place shapes, draw curves, and build complex laser frames with an intuitive visual editor. 10 drawing tools, snap-to-grid, multi-select with lasso, and full undo/redo.
screenshot-presets.png
66+ presets, infinite possibilities
A curated library of ready-to-use shapes across 9 categories. From classic beam fans to classic cycloids with dual-oscillator colour modulation — just click and project.
screenshot-effects.png
Stack effects, see results instantly
16 real-time effects with 54 curated presets. Stack multiple effects on any shape and watch them animate live in the simulator. Every parameter updates in real-time.
screenshot-audio.png
React to the music
Import audio tracks, detect BPM, and drive your laser show from the music. Frequency-band targeting means bass hits can pulse shapes while treble sparkles the colour.
screenshot-performance.png
Perform live, trigger cues instantly
A dedicated full-screen performance view with 26-slot cue pages. Assign cues from your library, trigger them by keyboard or Art-Net DMX, and switch between pages for different acts.
screenshot-projector.png
Tune every galvo parameter
Fine-tune geometry, colour, blanking, and scan output per DAC. Advanced scanner optimizer with physics-based galvo modelling. Save profiles so each venue is one click away.
screenshot-livecanvas.png
Draw live, project live
Freehand drawing streamed directly to your laser in real-time. Six brush types with adjustable size and colour. Draw a stroke and see it projected instantly.
screenshot-simulator.png
Preview without hardware
A real-time laser simulator renders your designs exactly as they appear from a projector. Normal, audience, source, and blanking-path view modes. No hardware needed to start designing.
Under the hood
Built for performance. Every point matters when you're driving galvo mirrors at 30,000+ points per second.
Scanner Optimization
- ● Physics-based galvo modelling with frequency, damping, and acceleration
- ● TSP path optimization (nearest-neighbour + 2-opt) to minimize blank travel
- ● Velocity-aware point distribution with curvature weighting
- ● Pre-distortion compensation and XY delay correction
- ● 5 built-in scanner presets: 20kpps, 30kpps, 60kpps, CT6215, CT6800
Art-Net DMX Control
- ● 11-channel DMX profile: brightness, position, rotation, scale, colour, cue select
- ● Configurable universe and start address
- ● Real-time projector control from any lighting console
Output Pipeline
- ● Point rates from 1,000 to 60,000 pps
- ● Corner dwell, blanking interpolation, and lit interpolation
- ● Scan safety protection against hot-dot burns

- ● 3D rotation with orthographic projection
Architecture
- ● Runs locally — no cloud, no account, no internet required
- ● Lightweight server + browser UI — works on any modern browser
- ● Real-time WebSocket simulation at 30fps
- ● Multi-user collaborative editing via SignalR
Supported Hardware
Works out of the box with industry-standard laser DACs.
EtherDream
USB / EthernetIndustry-standard USB/Ethernet DAC. Plug in and start projecting — full ILDA compatibility out of the box.
IDN
NetworkILDA Digital Network — the modern network-based streaming protocol. Low-latency, high-bandwidth laser control over Ethernet.
Simulator
No hardware neededBuilt-in real-time simulator preview. Design and test your shows with zero hardware — perfect for getting started.
Early Adopter Beta
Pay once, own it forever. We're opening up 50 lifetime licenses at a special beta price. You'll be among the first to shape CloudLase — expect rough edges, but you're locked in for life.

Frequently Asked Questions
No! The built-in real-time simulator lets you design, animate, and preview laser shows entirely in your browser. The simulator is fully functional in the free tier. When you're ready to project, connect any supported DAC.
CloudLase supports EtherDream (USB/Ethernet) and IDN (ILDA Digital Network) DACs out of the box. Multi-device output is supported — connect multiple projectors with independent calibration profiles.
Download the CloudLase app for your platform. It runs a lightweight local server and opens the design interface in your browser. All your designs, hardware communication, and laser output are handled locally on your machine — no internet or cloud account required.
Absolutely. Performance Mode gives you a full-screen cue grid with 26 keyboard-mapped slots, Art-Net DMX control, and instant cue switching. Live Canvas lets you freehand draw directly to the laser in real-time. Audio-reactive effects sync to the music automatically.
Import and export standard ILDA files (.ild/.ilda) for compatibility with any laser software. Import SVG vector graphics with full path support. Save and share portable CloudLase workspace archives (.clws) that include all frames, effects, and audio.
Yes. CloudLase includes a built-in Art-Net listener (UDP port 6454) with 11-channel DMX control — master brightness, position, rotation, scale, colour shift, and cue triggering. Configure the universe, start address, and target device from Settings.
Yes. Multiple users can connect to the same CloudLase instance and edit shapes simultaneously. Changes sync in real-time via WebSocket — great for teams designing shows together.
macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel) is fully supported today. Windows and Linux support is on the roadmap.
